If you get too little sleep, you’ll find yourself constantly hungry and craving for starchy foods throughout the day. When you get the adequate amount of sleep, these hormones (and your appetite) will stay in check. Try it out; go to bed 15 minutes earlier than usual. Once that becomes manageable, add in another 15 minutes. I’m not sure about you, but this weight-loss thing is suddenly sounding more appealing.

Ditch the Sugar in your Drinks.

It has been said before and we will say it again. Ditch the sugary sodas! Studies (Dr. Dana, Yale, 2010) have shown that diet soda sweetened with aspartame or sucralose can increase your appetite. If you find it hard to cut the carbonated soft drinks, opt for a club soda and a squeeze of lemon or lime, or look for sodas sweetened with stevia (a natural sweetener that doesn’t have insulin impact as artificial sweeteners)

Be wary of drinking fruit juices, a simple glass of orange juice can contain up to 25 grams of sugar per serving, which is about 5 or 6 cubes of sugar. Make sure you check the label to see how many grams of sugar per serving it contains.

If you love to drink coffee or even tea, try to cut the sugar, or use stevia (sweetener), this will assist to cut the calories.
